As a member of Canada’s Best Managed Companies, Johnston Group, provides employee benefits to over 30,000 businesses from startups to large enterprises.  Located in Central Canada, JG operates several other brands within their group of companies.

Challenge

JG came to me with the goal of developing an incomparable online within the Benefits space. They have multiple subsidiary brands within their group of companies that require their own unique visual appeal and message. JG had a substantial amount of valuable content but it’s in the form of text and pdf downloads which needs to be accessible and consumable, easily and in mobile format.

Solution

I took a mobile-first design approach with emphasis on delivering content in a consumable format. I focused the design efforts around the delivery of text-based material, while remaining on-brand. We decided on WordPress to allow for the flexibility for customization while still allowing a CMS that is user-friendly for their team to manage day-to-day updates.

Result

Four unique user-friendly websites that are fully responsive and achieve their branding standards and messaging goals. As well as a CMS and training materials required to allow for in-house management.
